During the home stretch of the school year, students begin attending more classes again. They have to get their dose of final information such as when the final is and what their grade is. They finally crawl back out of their holes that they have been in most of the semester. It's a shame that more students don't attend class regularly. I have been to over 90% of my classes this semester and I was present at 100% of them last semester. I have had good attendance this year and it has reflected in the improvement of my grades.
As the school year winds down, places to eat on campus are becoming scarce. The food court is too far away to walk. The good old Western Deli in Popplewell Hall closes at two everyday during finals. This is quite inconvenient for students like myself because some may have classes that last past that time and then their only option is to walk all the way to the union. Thank goodness for places down Mitchell like Taco John's or La Mesa. That is inconvenient because students have to walk all the way to their car and then find a new parking spot upon returning. Oh, the stress.
Finals week is always hell. Students are freaking out and studying like mad people. However, some finals are not a great percentage. For some classes, students have an option as to whether they want to take the final or just to take their grade before the final. I did this for one of my classes because I'm lazy. I decided to just take a C rather than risk getting a lower grade. I could have possibly gotten it up to a B but oh well. Good luck on your finals.
The summer vacation for Western students is on the brink. Many students have been talking about going home. The thing that sucks about going home if you live on campus is having to move everything from your dorm to your actual house. However, the students who live off campus can have an easier time by leaving their stuff in their apartment. They can pay a certain amount to the apartment complex for summer storage. Have a good summer everyone! See you next fall!

Leisure time
Many students including myself enjoy the everyday pleasures of the internet phenomenon YouTube. Nearly every computer in the office of the Griffon News is used several times a day to watch funny videos or music. YouTube has also become a tool for politicians and groups such as the Anonymous who are trying to destroy scientology. For example, Governor Matt Blunt announced in an exclusive YouTube video that he would not be running for re-election. YouTube has become enjoyable for many students at Missouri Western and is constantly becoming more popular daily.

Spring Break
I don't know about anyone else but my spring break was nothing more than a good opportunity to not go to class. Judging from the campus voice in last week's Griffon News, others enjoyed the same type of spring break as I did. I didn't go anywhere. I didn't really do much of anything. The most exciting thing I did involved pulling a cow out of a hole she was stuck in. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the break from school. However, getting back into the swing of things is proving to be quite difficult. There is really nothing students can do except gradually get back into it or just give up. I'm going to do the first.

Drink In The Spring Semester
The spring semester at Missouri Western has just begun. Students are just beginning to settle back into the lifestyle of going to daily classes. Students are also looking for things to do on the weekends as well as week nights. For the students who like to live it up and have some drinks, there are several good bars and restaurants that are common hang out spots for college age people. Many students tend to hang out during the week at 54th street bar and grill. However, the almost weekend party spot is at Wiley's Lounge on the Belt on Thursday nights. They have big drink specials (literally a big drink) for only $4.50 a glass and the place is always loaded with college students. Wednesday nights at the Muny Inn are college nights and it is also a popular place anytime of the week for college students. Therefore, any students who may be looking for somewhere to have a good time and relax as another semester is heating up now have some recommendations.
